27 Weeks and Counting

It's hard to believe that we are now 27 weeks pregnant. I wonder where the time has gone. I know the next 3 months is going to go by so fast. On November 11 we had our first ultrasound down to see how the baby was doing. While there we found out what we were having. We decided to not tell people what we were having because we wanted something to be a surprise for us to tell people when we were ready to tell. Well for Christmas we decided to start telling people that we are having a boy. His name is Samuel Joseph. As the shirt says he is priceless to us. We can not wait until he is here. It looks like he is going to be a pretty big baby though. We already love him so much.

THE LONG WAIT IS OVER

We are finally pregnant after trying for a little over 6 years. I'm trying to enjoy it right now even though I am sick with a lot of fluid on my abdomin. The docs are trying to get it under control and so right now I'm to stay home and rest for a little while and hope the fluid will go down.

Slurping Life

Our cat Cuddles Qbert is always trying to help out around the house. Here she is trying to help mommy fold and put away the clean clothes.

25 Day To Go

Here we are sitting in front of our new house. We are so excited to be moving in soon. The more we look at it the more in love we become with it.

Steve and his best friend Mike talking about the house and things that are coming up

Here we are in front of the SOLD sign of our house.

The view from one of the upstairs bedrooms. We didn't know about this beautiful view until today. The other days we looked at the house it was either raining or it was getting dark outside. Who could ask for a nicer view during the day.

29 DAYS AND COUNTING

A couple of weeks ago Steve and I applied for a pre-qualification on a house so we could start looking for something bigger. We were pre-qualified but were having a hard time deciding to buy or rent a bigger apartment. We looked at different apartments but they were either over priced or not what we were looking for. It seem God was closing every door to the apartments. Then this past Saturday Steve came home from work and had me look at an ad in the Ft Lewis Ranger about new homes that start at $180,000 and go up. So I called and talked with a guy there. We decided to go take a look at what they had with my parents. What we found surprised us. Of the 4 houses we looked at that day we found the one we liked. We made an offer and the builder countered our offer which we accepted.

Then this past Tuesday we went back, looked at the house one more time and then spent 2 hours signing the contract for the sale.

Today we went back again to sign all the paper work for the financing. Again 2 hours ding paper work. We will keep you posted on how it goes.

We are so excited and scared to buy our first home. It so obvious that God is opening this door for us because everything has happened so quickly. Our apartment has even been rented out to another person as soon as we move out of here.

What's wrong with this picture?

As most of you know Steve is a Husky fan and Jessica is a Couger fan. We bought this rug recently and when we put it down our cat Cuddles Qbert decided to pick sides. Can you tell that she is a daddy's girl?? So you know the bottom of the rug says "A House Divided!". She is covering up part of the word. Have a good laugh.

January

January came and went and when I look back on the month I remember a couple special events.

First is the celebration of our friends daughter Robin making the decision to be baptised. It was wonderful to see this very speical young lady make such a public statement of faith.

Second is celebrating a good friends birthday. Mike and Steve have been friends for such a long time and it's always good to spend time together as friends. Mike says he is such a nerd but we know that's not true because he has been such a great friend to us.

The last event I think of is bath day for our four legged daughter, Cuddles Qbert. She is such a big cat and when it's time to give her a bath she makes sure you know just how heavy she is. She weighs 16 pounds but put her in water and feels more like 30 pounds. Doesn't she just look pathetic??
